but Web-servers are included as feature in DXL in v80 - but not included in beta-2, right?
We also experienced a slowdown of the import - which might be due to beta, altough this is (I guess) untouched code. The import time of several databases "from scratch" increased by 25% (design elements only, no data documents). However, I guess this is due to beta, just wanted to inform you.
The specific answers to your questions:
-> What advanced options are you looking forward to in View Columns? Can you be specific here. DXL could be missing few new enhancements under columns?
I'm referring to the list I'm seeing in the designer help (and verified they exist in Designer-8):
select which column is extended to window width (column properties, last tab).
deferred index cration (column properties, unter "click on column header to sort")
Basically, I went through the DTD (for comparison) and identified that not much had changed there in terms of the small new features. So I went through the list on "What's new" in the designer help and took a look which might be helpful for me.
-> What does the " show default items in right-mouse-menu " do and where does it exist?
==> It is on the properties of the action bar in the view
==> Go into a view in Designer, open the action bar properties:
This options is the one which is missing,
I know that Beta-2 is called feature-complete, so I have no idea if you have any chance to bring in some of the options - in addition I cannot estimate how much effort this change would be (is it "just" reading an attribute and calling an API-method based on this, or more? I can't tell). However, if you have any chance to bring in more features in this area, I'd be very glad to use them.
